Stitch Fix for Christmas

December 6, 2016 by oldageisnotforsissies54 Filed Under: Fashion

Disclosure:  I am now a Stitch Fix influencer.  I am so happy to be able to share my love of Stitch Fix with you, and if you sign up for a Fix through any of the links on this page, I receive $25 toward my next Fix and a commission toward any gift card purchased, as well.

STITCH FIX FOR CHRISTMAS

I just got another Stitch Fix box, and this one was just in time for Christmas. It came while we were away during the Thanksgiving holidays, but an email from Stitch Fix told me that it was here at the house waiting for us when we returned.

When we finally got home, I ripped into the box. What I found were two dresses, a blouse, a jacket, and a necklace. My daughter Jamie let me know right away that she just “loved” the necklace.

As usual, I tried on each piece in the comfort of my own home using pieces from my closet to see what I had that already matched. Here’s my reveal.

First, I love burgundy; and it is a good thing. There is a lot a burgundy in this Fix.

The Blouse

I loved the Jenu Keyhole Detail blouse from Collective Concepts, so I tried it on first. The blouse is garnet with a gold thread that runs through it. All you Seminoles know how much I will enjoy this blouse. It fits perfectly. I can dress it up with black jeans and heels,

Stitch Fix BlouseI also paired it with the Stitch Fix vest which became a favorite in my closet.  This vest comes in handy for travel because of the pockets big enough for tickets, passports, etc.

Next was the Raja Collarless Blazer by Skies are Blue. It, too, is burgundy. I have several sequined blouses that look perfect under this for a Christmasy look.

Stitch Fix Jacket    Stitch Fix JacketAdd heels and some velvety black slacks for the total look.  Or pair it with jeans for a more casual style.

Next is the pale pink and black Katana V-Neck Dress dress by Wisp. It is a perfect fit, except the dress is too long for leggings and too short for my personal taste. At first I didn’t think I would keep this dress, but I did like the way it looked on me.  Especially when I added black hose. Also, I loved the print. I just don’t like my knees showing anymore, but the black hose took care of the problem.

Also, I tried it with a shawl wrapped and tied in back to give it the appearance of a shrug.  Mine came from Amazon, but my daughter monogrammed it.  You can find the shawl at Amazon here. Also, here is a picture of my monogrammed shawl and a link to her company Doodle Dumplin Darlin for monogramming.

The Second Dress

Finally the burgundy Teva Popover Scuba dress by 41Hawthorn. It is a perfect fit and a good length. I can dress it up with heels, a shawl and jewelry or wear it with flats for a total different look. I liked it so much that I wore it to church this morning.

The Necklace

Here a closeup of the Adie Crystal Statement necklace by Stella & Ruby. It is very nice.

So there you have it. That was my Fix for this quarter. I kept every item.

The dresses are an eight petite and both need to be longer. I am 5’3″, and the burgundy dress comes to just above my knee. I now know that I need to tell my personal shopper that my dresses need to be a Size 8 regular, not an 8 petite. I think that will help me with the length of my dresses.

Stitch Fix makes a great Christmas present.
