For Her
A warm, cozy long-sleeve zip robe. Most of us don’t need a robe that ties. It’s drafty in the winter, and mine made me look fat. A zip-up robe is more slimming.
Some of us also like a lighter robe. This one is sold as a nightgown, but it buttons up the front and can be used as a housecoat. I personally like this housecoat so much that I have two.
A nice cardigan. We ladies with grey hair have found that pastels look best on us. Try a pastel cardigan, but make sure it is long enough to cover the rump.
Throw Pillows. Here is one last idea for the ladies. Look closely the next time you visit her. Do her throw pillows need replacing? Take note of what colors she has in her home and gift her a new throw pillow or two. Someone sent me this one, but with the letter “L”. I loved it.
For Everyone
A New Kind of Charger. My sweetheart has trouble charging his iPhone. With dementia, he thinks any charging cord will work, but sometimes, none will. He frequently has difficulty doing the simplest things, but simply placing a phone on a charging surface may suffice.
A Warm Throw for the Bed. I’m a napper, but I hate to mess up my bed. So I have a throw that stays in my bedroom and I use it to take my nap. This cotton throw is perfect.
A good warm scarf is great for those blustery days, but it is also great to take into a drafty restaurant, like when they seat you near the door. We get chilled so easily. A blanket scarf is wonderful, too.
Comfortable and Stable Bedroom Shoes. These are by far my favorite bedroom shoes. And in a pinch, I can wear them outdoors.
A massage gun. I bought a massage gun a year ago. I love it, but this one may help me reach some of the hard-to-reach areas that cramp up near my shoulders.
A Coffee Warmer. Chuck loves a hot cup of coffee and is always in the kitchen microwaving his cup. What a splendid gift for his desk!
A good book. Give a gift of a good book! You might find out what genre they love, but if it is nonfiction, try this.
For Him
A Warm Puffer Vest. Chuck has a puffer vest that comes in handy in the winter.
A Fleece Sweater. He also loves his fleece sweaters. He has three, and Lord Help Me if I forget to pack one for a trip in the winter.
That’s It! I hope this helps you to shop for us because we realize that shopping for old-timers is not for sissies!

Sorry, I am 76 years old, and the items on the gift page make me think of someone who is waaay older than me; ancient!

Thank you for your comment. I did try to cover all ages over 60, but I certainly missed the mark for you. I’m 70 and own most of these and used my own experience to explain why I thought these gifts would for others.
